In 2. It says photocopy of passport as explained in step 2. Is this for people from visa exempt countries.

Just received another e-mail from CIC as a response to our case-specific inquiry.

"This is to acknowledge receipt of your sponsorship application and to advise that your file is presently
pending review by an officer. You will be contacted in the future if further information is required or as
soon as the decision on your application is finalized."

The e-mail had a PDF attachment.

and IN december 2015 my e case status change "In Process" we started processing your application on january 4, 2016

one of my friend'a parents got visa
app files in 2009 medical was done in back 2014 and re medical done in 2015 and now they recive visa in January 2016

I submitted my passport to abudhabi embassy on 14th Jan 2016 as i got PPR. Haven't heard of it since. Anyone in same boat??? Its taking forever when it said it should take 10 working days. Its almost a month now. Waiting in wain . Any suggestion will be helpful.

Hi All, i just joined this forum.. need advise regarding medical request my parents recieved from CIC.. on the medical report form the addess CIC have mentioned is my canadian address insted of my parents addess back home. They are in India right now. So what should we do ? Get the medical done in India or should i get them here for medical examination? Please help. Thanx

I've asked this same question on this forum multiple times. What I've been told is you can do a medical exam anywhere in the world as long as it's in the approved panel of physicians because what they'll do is pull up your file in their system and judge on results and not so much on the location. As long as a approved physician, you should be fine

thanks for your reply.. but i still did not get it why they have put my address on the medical paper under my parents name. all their ID's and passport have address from India. would there be any issue if their address on medical request form and other ID's is different?

Did you give your address as their mailing address when you completed the document request.

My parents were in Canada when they asked for additional documents in July 2014.. and i think i put their current address as my address and their status as visitor.. but mailing address was India

That may explain the address issue. They went by the residence address.

However it shouldn't cause a problem. Did they get medical request from Delhi by email.

What is your application timeline. When did you receive sponsorship approval and then medical request

Medical request email came from CPC Ottawa.. i applied in sept 2010, additional document were requested in july 2014, sponsorship approval and file transfer to ottaw email on 31 December 2015 and medical request feb 10 2016

My case is also at Ottawa
In that case the medical request contained the forms to take to Doctor. Go to an e-medical panel Doctor if possible.
That way you will be given a confirmation sheet following medical. You can email those to Ottawa and they will acknowledge receipt. Address makes no difference, they will use passport to confirm id of your parents and even on the sheet they give you will have no address detail just passport number and the ime number.
