Which visa office is responsible for your file?

Hi guys,

just wanted to check that will the ecas change to medical results has been received.
if yes how long cic will take to update it.

my parents did their medical on 16th may, 2015 (medical email received on may 12th).

currently ecas only shows two lines when I login using my parents details:

We received your application on this ....
We started processing your application on this ....

Please let me know.

I called CIC just now to check the status. They are instructed, not to provide any status update until 69 Months have passed since the application is transferred to Ottawa. So I told agent - "are you sure? .. so you are saying that sponsorship will in total take 10 years since I applied in 2010". He said 'Yes"

... I am like ...

My parents did their medical Feb 20, last week they ask for travel history and ecase status still showing In process.

strange..why would they ask for travel history at this stage ?

is it from you only or are they asking from everyone regarding travel history after the medicals?

Hi ,
I called them 2-3 times just to check out what they all say. The common thing they say is that 7-8 months from file transferance to LCO , parents should get the visa. Hope that helps.

i received similar upfront medical instructions with the approval letter but there is no time limit mentioned...

i will share some contents of letter..

This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class you submitted on behalf of ( Dad name) and family (if applicable).

Requirement for Medical Examination

If your sponsored relative(s) has (have) not already done so, your relative(s) must provide an original Upfront Medical Report form (IMM1017B UPFRONT) signed by a Panel Physician or an E-Medical Up-front Medical Notification information sheet. Your relative(s) must complete the medical examination and, once completed, forward this information directly to the visa office noted above along with a copy of this letter. Your application has been transferred to the visa office noting this deficiency. Your relative must forward the medical information directly to the visa office to allow continued processing of his/her application. Failure to do so will result in delays and possible refusal of your relative's application.

now my question is does my mom need separate letter to book appointment....

Today I got the same letter via mail from cic.
I just want to know, is this a medical request from cic or you still waiting for the MR. Pls share ur timeline and give me some advice what should I do know? Thanks in advance.

They received our PR application on 30.03.15. AOR from LVO singapore

Just a quick question ; if the dependant from the family sponsorship file comes to canada on student visa, will he be still counted as a dependent on the file.
