I think sputum test is for tb. Yes, hopefully, after this additional test, they will be able to safely say that our parents are clear of tb. I asked my mom to ask the panel physician who should inform CIC about the additional test, should it be them or us coz I am also worried of the 30 day allowance. Maybe you will find the answer to my question sooner coz my mom will have it on June 3-5. And according to the physician, results will be in 1-2 months. Pls. Let me know if you have the answer to my question on who should inform CIC.

anyone from 2009 applicants? We are still waiting for medical request. Here is our timeline:

Original application: Dec 2009
File transferred to London: Jan 2014
Original office was Islamabad. Mother and 1 dependent on file. Dependent was under the age of 19 at the time of application.

Anyone from around same time received medical request from London recently? I emailed couple weeks ago but received no response yet.

@Layla bee are you sure you have not recieved your medical since 1 year and more? Or you need correction of 15 instead of jan14 because its hell alot time ususally ittakes 6-8 months honey

Yes I haven't received medical request since file transferred back in Jan 2014. It seems a long time, almost 1.5 years since sponsorship is approved. I contacted London office and they said to wait for medicals once officer reviews the file. They assigned the file to officer in Mar 2015 as per GCM notes.

I think you should call them again because the medical times are 5-8 months usually and inform about your situation you even applied in 2009 its a very long time I hope you get pass through this soon. We are also waiting for medicals since 6 months

Had some bad news.. the panel physican said there is some spot on the x ray for my mom and needs to do a spatal test... a little tense.. anybody had that issue?

Its weird cuz she did a supervisa medical about 8 months ago and there was no issue..

technical the one for supervisa is still valid but cic requested another medical

Do you know if your mom had a problem with her lungs before? I think, panel physicians if i may say are more strict with medical results for PR. I have the same issue with my mom. She had a scar from 1976 lung problem and they asked her to do 3- day sputum test. When she had her medical for tourist visa in 2009 there was no issue, no repeat xray, nothing. But now, she has to do the 3 day sputum tests. Not only once but thrice. They just wanna make sure that everything is clear. So let's just hope, everything will be finished soon so they can forward the results sooner.

The panel physician advised my mother by phone to undergo further test. Why do you think your mom needs to do further test? Did panel physician mention anything to your mom? Maybe, you're worrying too much. If they will not call you, check with them after two weeks if they have already forwarded the results to CIC.
