My sister Sponsored me and my parent back in 2010. The application was filed in January 2010 and Acknowledgement was received in February 2010. Documents were requested in August 2013 and Were submitted in October 2013. We received no AOR after that and still nothing from the Visa office. What could be the reason? How do you get an AOR anyway? I just don't know who to ask. Can anyone here help?

I have paid the right of landing fee as yet, since new delhi was showing a 69 month processing time, but since the timeline is shorter, wondering when is a good time to pay it.


also I want to call my parents here for a visit here in the summer. hat happen if their medical request come during that time ?

that is good, it is atleast some movement. Mine file was transferred to Ottawa on March 19 and no news after that.

I got the approval letter on Jan 10, 2014 and the file got transferred to Ottawa. In March, i got another email advising that the file is now transferred to New Delhi. I got the AOR from Delhi office in mid april and within a week got the medical request

For files that are processed in Ottawa (not transferred to LVO yet), do you know whether they will ask you to send the passport? Ottawa or LVO like Singapore. My parents will be in Canada on supervisa and they just got their medical request, wondering where the passport needs to go singapore or ottawa

if u give email.check ur spam also.and they will tell u on phone when ur sis will call.what is the situation .did u check ur ecase sattus?

same here.get AOR from CIC on Feb 4,2015 then after file transfer to NewDelhi office then nothing :'( no email or any other request...this is 3 months now hope will get something soon. very frustrating ...

Yes I received an email followed by a snail mail from the Canadian Consulate in Jamaica. I am the sponsor as well as the Representative so everything gets sent to me.

Hi there,
when you received the MR, what was the content of that request. Is it just simple letter or there is a special form (UFM) attached to it? They probably also have instruction where to send the results? Did this come from visa office?

As mentioned in few other posts by me and some others, our approval letters did not specify any timelines for medical, but also did not provide any forms and instructions on how to undergo it. I assume our 30 days will start once we receive an official MR from visa office.

Man, I am so worried about this whole process...

I dont understand why you guys file was transferred to ottawa first then to delhi visa office or LVO and guys you guys have just waited for 3months and no response me and my family have been waiting for 6 months and no response for LVO we got our sponsership approval in Nov 2014 and that got to know that our file was transferred to LVO in Nov14 and still no request of medical just waiting hope everything turns out perfect soon inshaAllah but please someone explain to me this process :/

Ottawa only handles cases where there are no dependents. If any file needs any local information then file is transferred to LVO. If simple straightforward parents only case then Ottawa can deal with it.

Cases in general are dealt in the following order:
1. only one parent files
2. then files with just both parents.
3. then usually files which include dependents

This is not set in stone but generally this is the order files get priority. Also it has been seen that files with multiple dependents take a little more time. Your file has both your parents and three dependents so it may have taken them longer to process.

Waiting for processing is difficult for all.
