congrats. I'm still waiting for medicals so seeing some movement gives us hope that oneday our turn will also come.

Guys, this is great form and i am new to this. Please update my parents timeline as below:

Transferred to CPC-Ottawa on 14th Oct and medical requested. Too bad that they were going back to India on the day we receined medical request. Now they have to do the medicals from Punjab, hope that is ok ???


My time line is:

Multiple follow ups from my side in last few months from me and then they asked for additional documents two times after my follow ups. The documents which were submitted alongwith original application anyhow.

Can someone confirm that it is ok to get the medical done in India even if the file is transferred to CIC - Ottawa??

Actually my parents were in Canada for more than 1 year on Super visa and they went back to India only a few days ago.

I am confused now about the medical???

Medicals can be done anywhere in the world from list of panel doctors on cic website.

My parents received a form IMM1017 for medical on Oct 14 2015 and completed medical on Oct 24 2015.

Then they also received a letter with IME (Immigration Medical Exam) number, in this letter there is a paragraph which states as follows

• If you have not yet lodged a visa application you must provide the health identifier ..... to CIC. Please make sure that you attach this letter to your visa application before submitting the form to CIC, This will facilitate processing of your visa application

I am not sure what does this mean.

The application status is as follows
Applied in 2010 for sponsorship
Application done in 2014
CIC Requested to sponsor get parents their upfront medical Oct 5 2015 and send medical report to CPC-Ottawa, no timeline provided when to get medical
CIC sent email to my parents to on Oct 14 2015 with IMM1017 to get medical done in 30 days
Medical exam completed on Oct 24 2015 and panel doctor informed that reports will be sent by him to CIC via eMedical

I understand that letters from CIC are standard texts but visa application part is confusing.

Anyone here in similar situation or gone through this, please comment.

We not not received any form and i am hoping the the doctor in Punjab shoud have this form??

Also do i need to tell doctor to forward the medical to CIC - Ottawa??? Or would the doctor know where to send the form??
