By the way we got our COPR today and there's a watermark "NOT VALID FOR TRAVEL" what does that mean?

Congrats! That was a fast process from medical request to visa.

COPR is not a visa but your parent was issued a single entry visa in order to enter Canada as PR. Upon entering Canada, your parent has to show the COPR to Immigration Officer and that time, she will be asked to sign it in front of the IO. That COPR will be used for her PR card which will be mailed to your Canada address.

Got an email from Visa office asking to submit medical. Our medical was done back in June 2015. Physician confirmed the receipt and so did the Ottawa - Medical Office. However, officer from London office do not seem to find it from past 3 months. We have sent information slips, medical confirmation etc. to prove that the medical was done but officer keep sending emails stating the medical is still not received.

Contacted physician and they contacted CIC personnel in Ottawa, and files are sent to London medical centre again. Anyone in same boat? So confuse about this whole situation. Any suggestions?

we both submitted our additional documents in the same week of August and till this date we have not heard from our London Vida office. I dont know what will happen next :/ Did you do the upfront medical when you sent your medicals? AND WHEN wereyour medicals done?

Wait is finally over. My in laws sent their passports on Sept 21 to LVO, and they recieved their passport with visa on Sept 26. Now off to booking tickets so they can come here.

Thanks for update. Can you please also let us know
- AOR date
- Did you recieve any correspondence from CPC after AOR ? E.g. request for more documents etc. ?
- Do you have co-signer ?
- Did you recieve Sponsership approval and upfront medical email ?
- You said your ecase is not updated. Is it still "in process" and does it have list of all dependents ?

Any response will be appreciated as we are still waiting for sponsership approval. Hope your family get visa soon.

God be praise. Finally heard from them this morning via a call that it has been approved and to send in the Passports and 2 Passport Photos.

I didn't know they actually call...I thought they would send an email or a mail.

Will update when this has been completed.

I got my notes today, I need help to understand that, I am little worried because of medical receive status. on the notes under incoming heading, they type proof of medical completion scanned and trashed. what does that mean, did they receive our medical result and then why they did not update on the ecas. please someone answer. thanks

Upfront Medical

I received my sponsor approval today via email. This is my timeline

Applied - Jan 31, 2011
Doc Req - Aug 2014
Doc Sent - Oct 2014
AOR - Dec 2014
Approval - Sep 28, 2015

My case took a little longer because I gave birth to two kids during last two years.

Anyways, I received the letter today stating that they didn't receive Upfront Medical. My questions is: will I receive another email from Ottawa for medical? What's the benefit of doing upfront? I just don't know if I want to tell my parents to do medical now and the case gets delayed again then they have to redo medical again.
