I got a mail from CIC that my parents application transferred to Ankara.

App. Filed.......: 03-2010
Doc's Request: 08-2013
AOR Received.: 01-2014
File Transfer...: 03-2014

Anyone has dependent on his/her application? I have one dependent over 22.
Anyone knows what is the acceptance rate for dependent in Ankara or any other embassy ?

Also we had another application for my in-laws they already got their visa, CIC processed their file in Ottowa.

No status change on ECAS for AOR. This is what I've seen on ECAS for the principal applicant:
1. Received application
2. Received medical results
3. Started processing
4. Decision made
5. Landed

Hi Guys, today I got a letter from CIC Missi saying that they have received additional documents I provided to sponsor on Sept 8 and they have determined that application is complete, application is in queue and will be processed based on the date it was received.

Not sure what it means, did any of you received such letter? I thought the next step after submitting additional documents is file transfer too local office. In the letter no where it says file is transferred to local office.

Please advise/ any inputs?

Also just checked ecase, all it says application was received on July 23 2010.

The letter you received is known as an "AOR" (Acknowledgement Of Receipt). All it means is that they have received the documents from you. Take this as a small, yet positive, step.

The next event would be sponsorship approval. Once your sponsorship is approved, you should receive a letter advising you of this fact, and telling you that the file has/will be transferred to the relevant visa office. This could happen in another 2 to 3 months.

To get a good idea of the timing of the next steps, I suggest you check on what is happening at whatever visa office the file is sent to.

Hi mrs-vkp,

Good to know you got your AOR which means paperwork is complete. I am still waiting for mine which was received accdg to my postal tracking on Sept. 12, 2014. I think after this AOR, CIC will send us the sponsorship approval notice and that's the time they will transfer the file to the local office. Based on what i have previously read from this forum, it takes more or less 2 months from AOR. Let's hope that it will not be more but less than 2 months
