@ heaad, Diako and other friends:
I think it doesn't have anything to do with ceiling of visas or the staggering of visa issuance for certain periods of the year which we clearly are not in that stage.
If it was so they could simply send medical instruction to us and wait till they have new quota and issue our visas from there.

In my opinion there are two possibility:

1. The priority of visa issuance has changed and they are waiting for new instruction for the minister or parliament. Specially because of new job list. (May be they already have new instruction, and we are kicked to the end of the list again with those poor post February 2008 applicant whose their NOCs are eliminated from new list in favor of post-June 2010 applicants).

2. Our wait is more than a year so if they send medical form to us we would end up doing it again.

I personalty think that the first one is the case.
In past there ware two steams of applicants, now there are three, and they have to closely manage between three while they have to be in favor of the latest one.
The whole thing about expediting pre-February 2008 was bull.

Dears,

To set the records straight, there is nothing clear at this point.

@Ali, I did not send them yet, but I will during next week.
Also, your friends that applied 4 months before you are 2005!?.

Looking at things and analyzing them, I don't expect medicals before Q4 2011, and Visa issuance before Q1 2012.

As for Stagger, it has many meanings, but looking at the context, I think they mean 1 of 3 things:

1- They are Pausing issuance of Visa's and then resuming, then pausing then resuming according to their inventory.
2- They are dividing issuance of Visa's between OLD APPLICANTS and NEW APPLICANTS (for example, they issue visa's for new applicants during Q1,and then to old applicants in Q2, then again new applicants in Q3 and so on.
3- They don't know what the f*@#& they are doing but they are doing it anyway.

Others please advise, (armintaba is starting to get pissed off from the whole situation), hang on buddies.

Thanks youskal for your enlightening remarks, esp. Option 3.
I agree with you that amintaba is getting pissed off, as I totally disagree with him that people should stop providing analyses.

Thanks for your views but surely I am just asking our friends to share hundered percent real data jus as another forum asking its members to spread just the news not probable happenings. by the way, lemme give the physicians some good news :
one of our iranian forum members who had applied for a caips got the result and she was given 25 points where 22 points was expected. she is not an speciallist she is a general physician.

hello guys, all of you,

i want to share with you my thoughts, i have noticed that all of you were expecting to get there meds this month or last month, and they didn't.
when you sent them email, they replied that they need 6 months to re-contact you.
CIC sent us the papers request in September 2010 (almost all of us got it in that period), and they gave us 3 months to submit the papers, our submission varied between 2 weeks and three months (everyone submit in different period of time), but still the deadline was 3 months, so here i guess CIC started processing all the files after the 3 months period has passed, even though if you submit your file earlier, which means that the 6 months did not passed yet for those who submit it after days of receiving the CIC email, meaning also that we should wait at least till the end of JUNE for the meds.

Sounds like there is nothing new to reflect here right? wish we all would be given good news in not too distant future

I think we're also holding our breath for the moment. There's nothing that we can do and now it's their decision.
I read here and elsewhere than some people have been rejected. Now that we have not been rejected yet, does it mean we are 'admitted' and it's only a matter of time when we'll go to Canada?

Good news! got my Caips report today. Got 71 points and SELDEC 4.
(March 2006 applicant, updated docs were in Warsaw on Nov. 19th and file was processed and points given on December 8 )

Salam Armintaba

I got 21 points for employment history and 16 for my IELTS score (Listening 9.0, Reading 8.5, Writing 7.0, Speaking 9.0, total band score 8.5). I was a bit worried about the work experience point as my university major is in engineering but my last job description (last couple of years, after my initial application in 2006) didn't relate to engineering while during the update process I did specifically ask them to evaluate my latest NOC code. All went well. My other points were 10 for age, 20 for educational qualification (bachelors degree in engineering) and 4 for my wife's bachelors degree.

Thanks buddy. I did it through caips.ca the basic service costs 40 Canadian dollars, however you can request this report through any Canadian resident (relatives, friends, anyone living there) for only 5 Canadian dollars. This link immipedia.ca/Ordering_FOSS_and_CAIPS_notes covers the steps.
