My mother got visitor visa for canada and we filled the passport pickup webform in Jalandhar city for them. The airwaybill number generated was mailed to us on 21st May. I checked on bluedart website and the airway number shows "pick up registered" since 23rd May. The email from VFS on 21st May said that the pickup will happen in 3-5 working days. On 27th, my parents called the blue dart center and they said, they can pick up but they will charge INR 1450 more. My mother said that she already has airwaybill generated after payment online, to which they said, madam we will generate another one and pick up within 2 hours, you will just have to pay INR 1450.
Is this some kind of fraud or is their request legit?
