i don’t quite get that rule? What is it about. So I’m not a tax resident if I stay for less than 183 days per year? I am planning to do my landing in June. Stay for a couple of months in Canada then head back to my home country for certain reasons. And do you guys recommend I open a bank account and Apply for a health card or not in my short stay?
Thanks in advance..

You are not eligible for a health card if you are not living in Canada. A bank account is useful and will not affect your non-resident tax status.

Not that simple. You can be a tax resident if you spent 0 days a year IF you have what is considered "strong ties" to Canada. Examples would be owning property in Canada or your spouse living in Canada.

Would suggest you just get a SIN card during your short landing. Would not get a bank account and previously mentioned you only qualify to apply for a health card if you are planning on settling in Canada.
