I entered Canada on June 7th 2013 on a visitor visa, then border hopped to USA on July 5th and back to Canada on a working holiday visa, so have spent over 183 days in the country for 2013; traveling and working. Does this make me a resident/deemed resident for tax purposes?
[For deemed resident]
•You sojourned in Canada for 183 days or more (the 183-day rule) in the tax year, do not have significant residential ties with Canada, and are not considered a resident of another country under the terms of a tax treaty between Canada and that country.
Not sure if the bold bit above applies??
