1 year study permit-want to take vacation

Hello!
I'm currently in a 1 year college and my visa expires on november of 2016. There is a possibility that I will have to stop studying for 4 months next summer to acompany my partner to the north of Canada. My question is, will I have any problems if I take 4 months holiday in a 1 year study permit? also, will it affect my application for PGWP?
I really appreciate if anyone can help.

Yes, the gap will show you were not a bona fide student as your course is only one year. Maybe travel once you get your PGWP?
