    Indian Wedding vs. Court Marriage

This is just my opinion, but based on what I've read on this forum they judge you by what is normal in your culture. Therefore you should have a traditional indian wedding, and take lots of pictures of every step of the process (Engagement, Wedding, before the engagement as well). This is so CIC...

    Supervisa Questions

It's mostly because I thought that the father and mother would be separate. I see now that there is a family application to my understanding. Now I think they can get the TRV. The mother on her own probably could not.

    Supervisa Questions

Thank you for your reply. The thing is I'm not sure how to explain 8 months absence from their home country since they do have businesses and such to run. Am I overthinking this? I mostly don't want to misrepresent the application, we simply just want my spouse's parents to visit for a short...

    Supervisa Questions

Hi, After reading more, I don't understand why we can't use a Supervisa for less than a 6 month stay (According to the website less than 6 months is a TRV). According to the website, less than 6 months means that parents should get a TRV. My problem is that, without us, I don't think the...

Hi, My wife and I would like her parents to visit Canada for 1 month for an upcoming event. In the future, we would like them to visit for a year. Do we apply for the supervisa or temporary visitor visa? The difference being the time limit. We want them to visit for up to a year in the future...

    Scrutiny against online relationship?

Hi, My application was approved this year, and we had met online. We applied through spousal sponsorship (married). Are you trying to do common law? The main difference between our situations is that both my spouse's and my family were supportive. However due to costs of the flight only her...

For me, as soon as we finished the medical on March 3rd, we got a notification of file transfer to Warsaw (Within a day or two). Afterwards, AOR2 was May 28th I think, late May for sure. So roughly 3 months after medical is when we got the AOR2 letter.

Good luck! What's your timeline? Bucko, Ironbird and I are all December 2017 applicants (As in, Mississauga received our applications then). So we are about 8 months into the process. Hope that will help give you some bearing as to when to expect news.

Thanks Bucko23 for the information. I will contact the VO as you did to see if we also need to do an interview. Based on what you said, I think I would be in a similar situation, so I'm thinking now that it may be likely. Thanks once again, and good luck on your interview. I hope everything...

Hey man! Sorry to hear about your situation. It's very very hard to get a visitor visa while a spousal application is in progress because of duel intent, as Ironbird stated. Here is a person who got approved from New Dehli's side, as well as the documentation they had to provide...
