I believe same is the case with my file and I'm reading all the scary things about file being escalated to PM03. I have requested ATIP notes last week and also contacted my local MP. I called IRCC and the agent informed me that our application (family application) is in mid-application review and due to that the process is on hold until a senior officer checks the file and advises the next steps. My timeline similar to yours. Application: 13 May AOR: 19 Jun Test: 1st Aug Background check: 30th Aug No update since 30th Aug. I called IRCC multiple times and LPP hasn't been started yet.- arkhan433

Just called IRCC, for some reasons my LPP hasn't even started yet. Not sure the reason why but it is stuck without any update since 30th August when the background was completed. Really frustrating I had plans to travel in Nov this year and Jan next year.- arkhan433

Call 1-888-242-2100 and follow the instructions for citizenship application status and you’ll be able to speak to IRCC fellows. They can only tell you what you can see on your tracker, nothing else.- arkhan433

Apparently, the background check status update was a system glitch after all. A lot of people have reported that their status was changed back to in progress.
