    Thanks @dpenabill @armoured . I destroyed my old card. I got an opportunity to use the new card for a recent trip to United States. I went to Seattle from Toronto. On the way back, the journey was via Vancouver. I scanned the PR card at the automated machine upon arrival, and it all worked well.

    He was off by a good margin (9 months). Fortunate enough, he was not reported. He should stay put and do not travel outside Canada.

    @missedTheGCBus I had the same situation as you. Instead of 60 days of buffer that you had, I had only 25 days. To remove the risk of non-compliance, I avoided any travel and still avoiding for close to 23 months now. I agree with all the points mentioned by @armoured

    @nomad12 I agree with what you have stated. I applied online before completing five years and before spending 730 days in Canada however at the time of application, I had not spent more than 1095 days outside Canada.

    @dpenabill Sould I raise a Web-Form and attach the residency proofs to make sure that the officer looking at my PR Card renewal file can find the documents to confirm that I meet the residency obligation. Of course I am planning to do this once I complete the 730 days within Canada.

    I visited Canada for the first time as a landed PR on Aug 10th 2018. I could not have spent any time in Canada between June 6, 2018 and August 9, 2018 since I did not have any any kind of Canada Visa (PR, Visitor or any other).
