Accumulated work experience under different NOC codes

Hi both - Apologies, not very active on this forum anymore! Unfortunately no real updates or progress - I had another GCMS a few months back and was still as RR. I spoke to an immigration consultant who advised I leave it in the background and focus on other avenues. Sorry I couldn’t be more...

Yep I have been thinking the same based on what I've read - please update on here if you hear anything, it would be great to know! Ha! I am the same - keeping my fingers crossed they'll magically clear the backlog!

I don't want to guess a time for when they'll be done - otherwise, I'll get my hopes up! I would like to know if we should be re-doing medicals up front though, and does that make things any quicker? I did my medicals in Dec 2020, but not sure if they will be extended or if I should just go...

    IEC and PR

Hi @TheScrutiniser - I am in exactly the same position! Just wondering if you got any more information/guidance on this? (though purely theoretical for me, as I don't have an IEC ITA)

    FSW WORLDWIDE

I believe you're allowed to (it's called dual intent), but it's whether you're successful in securing a company transfer or a job with an LMIA! Here's the info about dual intent for TR and PR...

    LMIA

Hi! Quite a specific situation and looking for some advice: I have applied for PR via EE-FSW (Outland) - AoR Jan 2021. I have been offered a job with an LMIA from March/April 2022 for spring/summer (6 months approx). Would I be eligible to apply for a BOWP when my LMIA expires if my PR...

    Eligibility: Review Required - 2020

Hi! I found out I'm review required when I got my GCMS notes a couple of months back. It tells you which section is under review - for me it seems to be work history. It's worth having a look so you can pre-empt any requests for new evidence. I'm FSW-O but my Canadian partner spoke to his MP...

Hi @Serb11 - I am so sorry I missed this message! Here is the page which talks you through travel exemptions and explains the process https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/travel-restrictions-exemptions.html I applied under "extended family...

Hi @Serb11 - No problem at all! Ah, if you need a TRV and it's taking 400+ days, then it's likely that that would take longer to process than the Covid exemption. The Covid exemption takes about 15 working days. I have an eTA, so I don't need a TRV. But saying that... do you know if the TRV...

Accumulated work experience under different NOC codes

I received ITA Dec 2019 and AOR Jan 2020 - Received my GCMS notes this week and they say review is required for my work history. So I was wondering whether I had misunderstood the criteria and if I was going to get rejected... So hopefully not and it gets processed without any issues!

Accumulated work experience under different NOC codes

Oh great! Does the 12 month continuous just apply for your primary NOC then? I thought maybe the 7 months won't count as it's not a full 12 months?

Accumulated work experience under different NOC codes

Hi! Do you have any extra info about what you did here? I have 2 years 5 months in one NOC and 7 months in another, does this count as 2 years or 3 years for FSW? Thanks in advance! :)

Hi Serb! I have used the extended family exemption (here) to travel to Canada to see my boyfriend, who's a Canadian citizen, from the UK. I visited December 2020 to March 2021. There is a form you need to complete (here), which you and your girlfriend will sign a declaration. This will also...

Hi everyone! Does anyone know if there is any significance to VO being Ottawa? Or is that standard? :)

That's a shame! IEC is based on individual country agreements, so not everyone will be eligible if their country doesn't have a partnership for working holiday :(
