Hi @vp31 , If I read the Ontario website correctly, there's no waiting period in Ontario anymore. https://www.ontario.ca/page/apply-ohip-and-get-health-card "There is no longer a waiting period for OHIP coverage. If you are eligible, you will have immediate health insurance coverage." I know...

Hi! Yes, according to GCMS notes our file was approved in September 2020. Our medicals were initially approved on Febr 29, 2020. They were extended once in March 2021 (valid until March 2022) and now extended a second time in December 2021 (not yet sure what their validity will be now, awaiting...

Hi everyone, I just discovered that my medicals were extended in my online profile: December 9, 2021 You passed the medical exam. This is the first change that we see in our online profile since March 2020. I hope this means we will get COPR soon. Anybody else experienced the same and how long...

I understand that, but I think we would do a soft landing as quickly as possible.

    FSW WORLDWIDE

Indeed, after Sept 7 they will have no more excuses. But my fear is that they will reach their quota for this year without us (FSW-O). So, we only will be finalized somewhere in 2022... I don't know how realistic this is... I'm keeping my fingers, elbows and knees crossed for something to happen...

I thought they opened the borders for COPR-holders on June 21. So I don't understand why they wait to issue COPR's until the Sept 7 opening?

@legalfalcon Thanks for the reply. How can we demonstrate we will be leaving Canada at the end of the work permit (since obviously we hope to stay there permanently and are only going for the work-permit-option (for my husband) to be already in Canada while waiting for our PR to come through)...

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there is somebody (outland) who has applied for a work permit during the processing of their PR application (and got it)? We heard from our immigration consultant that a work permit may not be granted if you have already entered a PR application, because of the...

I agree. But, and correct me if I'm wrong, you also have to proof you have sufficient funds when you land in Canada as an immigrant. And I think at that moment they will look at the new minimum numbers.

I think you can do upfrond re-medical but you can also wait and see what happens. Sometimes they extend medicals. My medical was expired in Feb 2021 and according to my GCMS notes it will be extended. I don't see any extension yet so I think sometimes it can take time.

Hi everyone, I'm FSW-O, file is approved (per GCMS notes) but no COPR yet. Knowing that the borders will open one day and we will be allowed to travel again from Europe to Canada, I have two questions. 1. I heard that entering Canada as a tourist when you have a PR application running in his...

Hi, our PR application (FSW outland) has a status approved (according GCMS notes) but we haven't received our COPR's yet. I am the principal applicant in our application. Now my husband is on his way to have a job offer. If he has the job, can he apply for a work permit while we're awaiting our...
