    Changing address after eCoPR

Six weeks - per what the agent said - is ~Dec 6. That is more like the timeline I am referring to. Keep in mind if you apply under the 'lost' process, I assume they cancel the one (that they said they sent out). That is: if you start that process and it shows up the next day, do not assume it...

    Changing address after eCoPR

No. You can also see in various threads here that sometimes when IRCC says something 'has been mailed', that does not mean 'handed to Canada Post.' It can just mean approved for printing and mailing.

    Changing address after eCoPR

Are you still residing at the address that IRCC has on file? Because that's what this thread is about. As far as I know, IRCC does not send out PR cards using tracking number, and I don't have any more info. Personally I would wait a couple more weeks before starting the course of applying...

Date format to use on the back of photo?

If one uses yyyy-mm-dd, there is no space for confusion, mm always follows yyyy - there are literally no jurisdictions or customs anywhere in the world that use yyyy-dd-mm.

    Changing address after eCoPR

I do not know when you applied or heard it was being sent or anything. Up to you of course.

    Changing address after eCoPR

For now, wait. Keep checking at old address if at all possible.

Date format to use on the back of photo?

My suggestion is to use yyyy-mm-dd - no way that can be confused. (This is also 'official' Canadian format - although hélas this does not mean that its use is consistent and universal throughout Canada, quite the opposite in fact, even with federal govt - but it does have the advantage that it's...

Procedural Fairness Letter - Indicating criminal charges that doesn't exist?

I don't have much to suggest apart from get a lawyer, but some suggestions: -order updated (new) police certificates for yourself immediately, for every country that you can think of as an issue (obviously France, another if you have relevant). -Is there a way to get an EU-wide search done? Idk...

Unemployed - Zero income NOA for residency proof

I agree. Sure, write to IRCC or your MP or whomever. Unfortunately I think IRCC doesn't mind having these ambiguous and unclear instructions - either because it's too much work (overcoming a committee consensus for example), or they prefer it as 'constructive ambiguity' (that way it's always...

    Changing address after eCoPR

-Unfortunately IRCC seems just plain bad at updating addresses (I guess different internal databases or something). [TBF it's not just IRCC - I've lived in my place for 4+ years and previous residents still get mail here - from their current employer, a large hospital.] So do check at old...

    Residency obligations for PR renewal

Yes. There are lots of things in the world that should be better. Like the search function here so people wouldn't have to re-hash the same discussions over and over.

    Spousal sponsorship

When you submit to the VFS/visa application centre, won't be a problem, they'll just use the new passport. People get new passports all the time. In my opinion, you do NOT need to go through the webform update stage - this is overkill and not needed.

    Spousal sponsorship from Germany

Suggest applying appr. 12 months before you would like to move. First apply with basic info about your plans - but then keep preparing, visit Canada with spouse, look for work - collect docs to update IRCC about plans. IRCC increasingly asks for updates - if you've done work to continue to...

Do I need to notarize a section of a foreign legal document in order to submit it to IRCC?

I do not know, and yours does not sound like a 'typical' case.

    Urgent help needed

Yes, you can have it sent, no issue with Canadian immigration. I can't help you with courier. Note that some countries don't 'like' official documents through mail/courier (and the PR card has an RFID chip). You can ask the courier companies - or if you know anyone travelling to India, they...

Do I need to notarize a section of a foreign legal document in order to submit it to IRCC?

I understand nothing of the context, but would focus on providing them the pages that are most relevant and perhaps a few other pages like cover, intro, table of contents to situate it. But repeat my point: whatever point you are making here, I think you need a lawyer to do it.

Do I need to notarize a section of a foreign legal document in order to submit it to IRCC?

But what is the document itself? Do you mean that the original document is in English and [Foreign], i.e. they are both the same text? We're familiar with that in Canada. It won't be a problem. I do not know the situation or the context, but respectfully, I think you're worrying about the...

    February 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Read the tracker page carefully. It says contact them if you don't get the invite by six (IIRC) days before the ceremony. Most get it before then, I don't recall more than one or two cases where it came later or there was a problem.

Do I need to notarize a section of a foreign legal document in order to submit it to IRCC?

Do you mean that the extract is part of the law (legal code or whatever) in that country? Is the original in English? Generally docs that are already in English or French don't need to be notarized. I'd guess that if it's a public document (such as a published law), even more so - an extract...

Apply early before 5 month trip, or wait till after return?

When did she become a PR? If she became a PR more recently than five years ago, counting days in Canada is not the most accurate. The formula to use is this (in my opinion): to be compliant, the number of days ABSENT from Canada must be LESS than 1095, counting ONLY days in the last five years...
