    Dependent Child Sponsorship -2024

I don't find any of these minor differences in timing are very meaningful. But can't say for sure. As far as I'm aware Sydney only does the intake / first letters and after that some other office. I don't follow closely office details but general comment: it seems to me fairly clear that over...

    Spousal sponsorship

If this type of delay is too much frustration, moving to a different country may not be for you. I don't say that as a criticism - but you're going to need thicker skin than that. (Wait until you meet the health care sector). Systems are different everywhere, and the 'match' to expectations...

Scans of all passport pages for citizenship app

From what I see here, it's not common at all for IRCC to ask. Infrequent at best. Perhaps not 'rare', but not at all common. ("Common for some" doesn't really mean much). I think it's a waste of time for most, but for anyone who wishes, go ahead. I think providing more info than...

Not for the online app, only the mail app. Don't do the mail app.

Goods to Follow List - Moving more than one year after Landing

So they've been living in Canada and did not bring their valuable stuff when they came to settle? Different case, I've no idea what applies to them. As far as I'm aware, this has nothing to do with the goods-to-follow scenario, which is for things brought 'following' when settling - but don't...

Goods to Follow List - Moving more than one year after Landing

[Note, I don't know your case, you jumped into somebody else's thread] I don't know what they did before or who advised them to proceed this way. But as long as they only did a soft landing last time and did not settle in Canada, yes. Now note: with goods to follow forms, the typical is that...

Is this an AOR letter from IRCC?

Happy to bow to your knowledge on this one.

Goods to Follow List - Moving more than one year after Landing

Goods to follow forms are only submitted when actually moving to Canada to reside, i.e. settling. Therefore, nothing out of place, you should not have submitted when soft landing anyway. (PR status and actual residence for tax/customs purposes are different concepts - it's confusing.).

Is this an AOR letter from IRCC?

I don't think this is AIP. It's just eligibility confirmation, which this early should be considered same as AOR. Not 100% certain I admit though.

    Spousal sponsorship

Fundamentally your file is not late - eight months is still well within normal, and your gcms request is - by my calc - less than two weeks late. And while ordering gcms notes CAN be useful, it's usually not for those that aren't actually delayed (although interesting). And you had an MP's...

    Illegitimate child

No-one can give you advice on this aspect. I don't believe the spouse in Canada formally has to give permission - but this doesn't make it a good idea. As with the question of custody of the other child, these are things you're going to have to work out on your own or with professional...

First vs Second Generation – Mother's 1947 Citizenship Status

Better to post in the sub-forum here about citizenship. I would suggest using this tool: https://ircc.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3pJ5oXgZNBj0r1c?Q_Language=EN (It is a Canadian govt site despite the name, doesn't ask for identifying info - you get there from here...

    Dependent Child Sponsorship -2024

Children less than 14 (I think is the age) don't give biometrics, so no issue there.

    Illegitimate child

So the 'normal' thing for applicants is that they have to declare children and have them examined when they apply for and become PRs. And if they're not declared, they cannot be sponsored. Situations like yours are rare so it's hard for anyone to say precisely what the situation will be. Given...

Issue with CBSA Travel Record – Impact on Citizenship Eligibility

Not required. Some do if they feel important to check against their own records. How? Internet.

Not enough info. It is important when you became a pr, how (what process), and at what age.

Outland spousal sponsorship COPR updated but contact address still different

You posted several times asking how to do it and now you're asking whether it's necessary? Make up your mind. If it was enough to make you ask the question that many times just do it . You could have just finished it by now.
