As long as you've received an invitation to take the online citizenship test, you can do so at any time during your eligibility period (no matter day or night, weekday or weekend). So best you can do is to find the earliest convenient time for you when you can focus on the test and avoid interruptions and go for it.

Best of luck!

For the passport
Do you not have a passport from your country of origin?

Seeking medical treatment outside of Canada is not considered to be an urgent matter.

The website is clear:

To apply for urgent processing, you must be eligible to apply for citizenship and have an emergency, such as:

° Needing Canadian citizenship to:
• apply for a job
• avoid losing your job
• go to a Canadian school, college or university

° Needing to travel because of death or serious illness in your family and you can’t get a passport in your current nationality

° Receiving a successful Federal Court decision on an appeal on a previous application for citizenship

Even if these conditions apply to you, we may not be able to process your request urgently. If we do process your request urgently, we may not be able to do it in time to help your situation.

I have a ghost update on 17 Nov, nothing happens until now
Earlier we used to get the after the ghost update but nowadays it seems not the case for all. I too got the profile updated on October 4 but nothing since then.

why is it taking too long........?????????
Yes, it's frustrating, specially for people applying with kids, I applied with my son since April 2020, citizenship completed and nothing else, why they don't give a chance or prioritize family application, specially applications with minor, it's really slow for early 2020 applications.

Hi Lorentz, I understand your frustration. Did you apply from Kitchener? In my opinion, that is the main reason why your and your son's application is being processed so slowly. Something is just terribly wrong with that office. I hope you'll get some updates soon.
