Hello Folks,
1) My requested additional documents have been delivered through courier (DTDC) on June 27th 2019 to NDVO, but still GCKey shows as below
  • "We need additional documents to process your application. We will send you a letter or email with details." Is this normal taking this much longer time to get update on GCKey account?
2) I am visiting my wife this November ending, do I need to inform CIC about this visit?

Thanks,
Venkat
you can email NDVO and inform them, or better call them to confirm if they have received them or not. Usually, yes CIC takes the hell out of time to update the status on the GCKey account.
you don't necessarily have to inform CIC about visiting your spouse, and there is no harm in doing so and If you wish to inform them, its better to provide them the flight booking details as well. or you can inform them once you come back with your passport stampings.

There are many steps involved, usually, ndvo takes sweet time to process the applications. Now NDVO mostly will ask you to provide additional documents to process, thats what happened in most cases. once you provide them, depends on the officer who is looking at your file, might take 2- 3 months to issue you the pre-arrival invitation letter, which means you have passed the eligibility. Then, if you are luck you should get passport request in a week or wait like many of us with fingers crossed. I received pre-arrivals 6 weeks ago, still no update. I saw some got passport request after 180 days. No one knows exactly when to expect a Passport request. If you call cic, they would only say one thing, normal processing time is 12 months, so please wait.. and stop calling and bothering us.

Hi,
I already contacted NDVO couple of times through email and through web form in July and August about this, but there is no response from them till now. Is there any contact phone number to call NDVO directly and if I call do they respond? Thanks...

01141782000 you can contact NDVO. My suggestion would stop providing info unnecessarily to CIC. The more info you give the more things to verify/process, only provide the documents which they have asked for and respond only then. you have the tracking number of the dtdc, right, just track and see if that has reached there or not. usually ndvo won't respond to webform or emails when you are with in the processing times. when did they request you to provide additional documents and by what time?

Yes, as per DTDC tracking history details, my package was successfully delivered to NDVO on 27th June 2019. Actually they requested additional documents on June 22nd and mentioned requested documents should reach their office by August 5th 2019.
Thank you :)

Then don’t worry venkat, if documents have reached NDVO. You should be fine, NDVO is not fast in updating status on gckey, they would have emailed you or warned you if you documents have not reached their office. If you want you can still contact them through phone, but provide any other update yourself or your wife to CIC until they ask you. Did NDVO specifically ask you to provide the documents my mail? Usually they say to email to their office.

You can check the discussions and look most of applicants whose files got transferred to NDVO has no clue when they gonna get passport requests, many applicants just got transferred to NDVO, many have received pre arrivals and waiting for update for weeks and months now. One word answer for your question is no one can answer. In most cases New Delhi would again ask for additional documents for the further processing and will issue pre arrival invitation letter and put applicants on hold for indefinite period. From what I see, i believe NDVO strongly sticks to 12 months processing time. Very few are lucky to get faster.

I believe you have not authorized yourself as representative to your application. This letter is referring to principal applicant, in your case, your wife. Did you authorize your wife as representative to your application, or do you have any immigration consultant looking after your application?
In most cases who so ever,( sponsor) has authorized themselves as representative to their application must have received the message asking to submit the documents by email mostly and mail would be given as second option.
