We had our test yesterday in Calgary and both passed I checked Ecas this morning it is updated to Decision made! Good luck to everybody else waiting on correspondence.

I know everyone is excited to take their citizenship oath but be considerate if you're planning on inviting your whole neighborhood to attend your oath taking ceremony as the seats are limited. It's better to bring just your immediate family and it states in the invitation letter that if you're bringing a child with you, have someone ready to bring the child out of the room if ever the child gets restless to avoid disrupting the ceremony. *Someone meaning a person other than the ones taking their citizenship oath. Cheers!

My repeated question and sorry for the bothering: Anyone from Kitchener Office received anything after being "in process"? Anyone tried calling CIC and inquire about the status of their application. TIA

I understand. One of my friends wanted to come and I am already taking my wife. So, was wondering if I can take another person.
Usually, for graduation ceremonies, they issue passes and it's very limited mostly two or three. That's why I asked.

From what I have read, so take with a grain of salt, they guarantee seating for one person but others are subject to available space So another person may have to stand or wait elsewhere?

Previous Expired Passport (validity period 2006-2016)

I do not have the original copy of my expired passport . The embassy kept it when I picked up my new passport. All I have is a photocopy of my previous passport.

I was wondering if they would demand to see the original copy of my previous expired passport, or a simple photocopy would be good enough.

Is there anybody else in the same situation as me ?

I'm not sure why your embassy took your expired passport. All I know is that once you get your new passport, they usually punch a hole on your old one and return it back to you.

The IRCC officer usually double checks your passport stamps with your physical presence form and that you have met the minimum number of days eligible to apply for citizenship. Cheers.

Same situation. I have mentioned my older passport was not returned back to me when I got my new passport. During the interview, the officer asked for my current passport, and then later asked the old passport; I answered, when I got my new passport the old one was not return back to me. he said ok and added, in china when u travel you need to bring all your passports old and new. I replied, ok. Mine was not returned to me. he said ok. And then asks my others documents Driver license,PR and Health card...he checked them and returned them to me...I signed do documents and Interview was done . The next day My status showed DM.

Let's see what's gonna happen
They might do some digging on the old passport to see if there is not crime related to it.
..As long as there is no crime or whatever bad related to the old passport, it should be fine.

During the interview, the immigration agent mentioned I may get an oath invite letter sometime in August or September and a possible oath ceremony sometime in November or December. I’m in the final stretch now .
