When I spoke to agent on the phone, he said its nothing to worry..... Ottawa has its own way of working, so it is taking time. He also said I should surely be able to hear some good news by the end of this month. I checked many forums and ircc website........ It said security takes 1-3 months normally. For those whose security clears in few days..... It's just that the security might have started but not updated......

So let's not panic not depress by thinking that it is comprehensive security screening. It's just normal time.
And if other things are passed....... It's very very rare to get a Rejection . So let's motivate all those still stuck in security checks...... Be happy that just the last element on ur file is left...... Sooner or later u should get ppr.
All the best to all :)
I'm just trying to think realistic. When it comes to two months of security checks, the chance of not being under SS is minimal. At least I have never seen anyone who waited for 2 months of security and got the result during the third month.

And yes, the most positive thing in SS (lol) is the fact that you aren't going to be rejected (if you are not a part of some forbidden organisation of course :D), so it's just a great way to take your time and prepare yourself for one of the biggest steps in your life. I'm just sick and tired of countless questions like "when do you leave finally?", but looks like I managed to get used to this waiting. I even bought some tickets to Italy and several other countries to the beginning of September - gonna have a romantic trip with my wife before first hard days/weeks/months in Canada :)

Good approach . I hope sooner or later we do get the ppr....... My dependant's security check started on 24/05. So it's 45 days now....... My security has still not started...... Even if it is comprehensive ss, no problem....... All I have to worry about is, a long wait......

Sounds you will have a great vacation. My security check started at early Feb and not update yet, according to 5 months average SS timeline, I am expecting to see its completion during this summer.

I hope you will get an update in July or August. Keep me posted! The recent trend is definitely 5-6 months for SS.

I am not sure where this 5-6 months trend is coming from . I am waiting since Nov 15 that is when my security started and it’s been 9 months . Last I checked in April and it was still in process by CSIS .

If Nov 15 is the date you were sent to SS then its been around 8 months..
I was communicating with another member on this forum who was sent to SS in nov 18 and he received the PPR just a week ago.
Looks like yours might be around the corner. Kindly keep us posted so we can track which month are they currently processing .
Thank you

I will keep you posted . I think I am unlucky as I am stuck with Winnipeg Office on top of SS and they are pretty slow in processing. But lets be hopeful and optimistic :)

Im a Quebec Skilled Worker, and with Federal since Feb 2017 (AOR), I was in SS for 17 months, then cic asked for Schedule A of my wife, and put her is SS since May 2019. She doesnot do any job and has same travel history as of mine. I wrote to my Visa office, CBSA and Ahmed Hussein and recieved a general reply from all of them. We dont have much digital presence like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Just WhatsApp and genuine emails. Is that related to my situation.

What should I do, it's getting frustrating now.

I believe digital presence does not affect your SS. Just do not understand why they keep your there for so long and then your wife Ss initiated so late in the process. They should have started both ss at the same time, like my case. Some people here considered mandamus thing and getting lawyer involved, maybe you should read about it now and decide later..?

Seniors in this group, please give me some advices.

I’m a FSW with July 16, 2018 AOR. I have waited 11 months (for 10 months case untouched by anyone) to get my security stated in mid- late June (last month). Everything else is passed.

However, till today my security is still “in process” (around 2-3 weeks). Shall I start to worry ss from now? Some people say security should only take days. But I also read here, security now takes 1-3 month.

You know, after this long waiting, I’m scared of another long waiting.
Besides, my student status is going to end too.

Thank you...... I see mandamus, but going through that channel would take around 4-6 months equal to current average time for SS.....so I'm confused either I do it or wait.
