Well jokes aside, guys how do you proceed when you call? Is it: -hello, I would like to ask where my application is at?
Are there any ways to break the ice?
Edit: Also is there a best time to call? I know it has been said before but 580+ pages is just too much to check lol
Ya, i usually start with : hi, I would like to know the status of my express entry application. Then after a few security questions, they tell the brief status update (usually what we see in the online profile) and thereafter I ask the status of eligibility, criminality and security, and if there is any expected date of completion.
Use the instructions in my signature on how to call, @mghicho, and you most definitely don't want to give them any orders like "hurry up!"

They are usually so damned polite that I haven't needed to plead with them for information. And, if you speak French definitely use it! The call center is located in Quebec.

thanks for your kind words..its already been about 7 months now..i heard that they are taking longer for spouses who are in pakistan-not fair

Yes @mghicho definitely don't say anything like that! I think it's safe to say: is there anything I could do to smoothen the processing? If you want them to forward a reminder. Some people earlier in the forum talked about these reminders after 6 months. You might want to look at it. Can't remember the posts though.

I might not be able to have a good time if some Canadian ghost still hasn't visited me yet.
Planning to save the big blast vacation/drinking marathon/perhaps more shopping adventures to when the long wait is finished with good news.

Dunno. Canadians are so nice, even their ghosts, who only bring good news to good kids, kinda like Santa. They might have different job descriptions from ghosts in other countries.

The pictures that you need to send to IRCC for your PR card or to be carried during your landing interview, do we have to stamp the back of both the photos? The instructions are a bit confusing and say stamp- "at least one of the pictures( out of 2)". I've heard many stories of these pictures getting rejected and then, it takes another 90 days for your PR card to arrive. I have some travel plans during this period and cannot risk this rejection. Any suggestions/advice is welcome. And as always, thanks!
