Wow.....Good for you.I wish I had received two letters for my wife and I. I wish she comes in soonest.....However, she can't even come until I land. The painful one is that the flight ticket which I hope to buy is actually increasing by the day!

Montreal can you just be kind at least for once and get things done completely?
Sad to hear that. Usually they get same time as you do right?

Well, it used to happen in the past that passport is required for all inland. Nowadays, it seems IRCC randomly select inland applications that will land at a local office. They termed this "Pilot Program" as they are testing out the benefits of an applicant landing at the nearest local IRCC rather than having to travel to a boarder which they think is more demanding. However, it turns out that going to the boarder might be more beneficial as it expedites the landing process unlike having to wait for 6 weeks (in some cases up to 8 weeks as some centers claim to be very busy).

Seems everything about Canada is associated with "WAIT"..................Crazy!!!

I totally understanding your stress, holidays coming and family apart... Possibly you will receive the interview schedule very soon this week dear !
I just called. Nothing new but continue the waiting. The agent said eligibiltiy is met and background check is still in progress and wanted me to wait.

How do we know if we are in what is call Security screening? I dont find any S15 as people said, as when note is generated, security was not started. I am so anxious now to scan all the possible reason that could hold my application that long...

@annevn8, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Since your eligibility has been met, you are good. And to let you know, SS is only when you have traveled a lot (especially to the Middle East) that you have a chance for a prolonged security check. Note that I said have a chance because it doesn't always happen that way.
Continue to pray and keep the faith.......It worked for my wife and I and it will definitely work for you too.

You're most likely not in security screening.. Generally people from so called "high risk" countries are in security screening. Basically the countries which are on watch-list of US and Canada

For them it is a "process" and we are "cases" and "files". The day they treat as human beings things may change. But sadly, that day will never come and Canada is not unique in that sense. May be still better than other countries.

You can order another set if you like but given your eligibility is recommended pass it won't really serve any purpose. Montreal has shown a trend of sitting on files without any reason till month 5+ after initial eligibility check. Ordering GCMS notes won't really hasten the process. But if it gives you peace of mind do order them.
Thanks for the advice Cansha. I wanted to order to see if there's progress in criminality since the GCMS notes mention that my criminality check has started and RCMP mentions recommend pass. Also I currently have a work permit in Canada for which a criminality check must have been done already. So it's strange that they are holding it up.

Btw, can you also add my name to the list of cases? Thank you :)

Okay.....Let me help make the forum less dry as @phaneeswar130 have complained by sharing my call experience with the CIC agent about my landing appointment.

So, I called CIC today and explained to the agent that I am the primary applicant but received PPR for just my wife who lives outside Canada. He wasn't sure about this development and had to look into my file. He confirmed that the letter was sent for the passport (even asked whether we received the PPR letter) and also that our application has been approved.

I went ahead to let him know that my wife's medical will be expiring in 2 months and according to CIC, that if applicants visa (which is linked to the medicals or passport expiration) will expire in two months or less, that the person can request for urgent processing of landing interview. Well, he was also not aware of this information. All he told me was to send a CSE as I had done in the past (as he had seen the multiple CSE's I had raised) and let the VO in Montreal know about my situation. He also gave me Montreal's fax number suggesting I can also fax the urgent processing request

I am sharing this as I know it will be beneficial to person here. At least those who had received PPR last week for just the dependent and are within two months of medical validity can use this medium to expedite the landing interview schedule.

@phaneeswar130 hope I tried in making it a bit active?;)

Your help is highly appreciated.

I got work experience points from my previous company. However, this company had closed few years ago.

Received a mail from IRCC, asking me to provide with an up-dated letter of employment and pay-stubs for all the years i have worked in that company.

1. Can I just contact my previous manager and ask him for the reference letter?
2. Should I have to provide all pay stubs or just a few from each quarter year should be sufficient ?

Thank you very much.
