Yes but there was the word security screening present on notes to confirm whether a person is in SS or not. Now they've removed that as well

Exactly what are the signs that shows that an applicant is under security screening? I am pnp outland and have ordered gcms notes to see where my file has stuck.

Hi @legalfalcon. I just spoke to an agent and they said eligibility and criminality are complete, and part of security is complete, but there’s one part left that they’re waiting on and hasn’t been started yet. My husband is from a Central American country and we’re both in the US currently (I am from the US). Could the last security portion be to check with his home country regarding any security issues? Even though the PCC from his country was clear? If we’ve both never been in gangs/espionage/etc, this should clear right? Any criminal convictions would have been checked during the criminality stage? I’m still waiting on my GCMS notes, but just wondering. Thanks!

If you do not see SS, then you so not have SS. The sub-activities are usually not retracted.

dear @legalfalcon please shed some light on below info of mine
I am PNP July applicant and and in IP2 since Nov 29, 2017. I emailed CPC Ottawa a couple days ago and asked for an update. Following is their reply
"Your file is currently in queue for officer review. We do not require any documents from you at this time. We will contact you if further information is needed."
I thought I was under SS but this reply has confused me as normally they say your application requires additional verification if under SS. Secondly I got my gcms notes today and assessment is like this
ASSESSMENTS
Eligibility: Passed
Security:' (info here is retracted)
Criminality: Passed
Info Sharing: Complete

Under the admissibility it says
Security: 1

I have 4 Activities: 3 Activities only show my name and UCI number, sub-activity field is hidden. Only Activity 4 shows "security" under sub-activity. Similarly, @umar127 seems to have his sub-activities field hidden. Are there other people with similar experience? If this is the new trend, then ordering new GCMS notes would be no longer useful for cases like ours.

The security details are never released, so it is difficult to predict what the reason is. But just give it some time and you will be through. Also, your GCMS notes will surely help you in giving you some sense on what is going on.

Same issue in my case. Since everything else is completeled except for security which is all hidden, any new gcms note inrequest will probably be the exact same copy as the last one.

I have same activities as you mentioned. Confused if it's SS or just routine/normal security.

Dear legalfalcon,

I have applied for work permit applicarion in aug 2017 and w8ing for reply after meds submitted in nov.

I came to know that if i get meds it means that my application will likely to get approved. Is that correct.
My question is

In 2010 i applied for canadian pr filed my application and got file number from cic. Then due to some reason i withdraw my application, i didnt it was mentioned in my current applications about past application.


I havent kept any record or number for the past application

Will this affect my current wp application.
