hello,

Is there anyone who is waiting from first week of June (June 1 to 7) or earlier and hasn’t received their card yet??
Please reply. Thank you.

Hi,

I applied on June 3rd, and am yet to receive any kind of response, email or update from IRCC and I have not received my PR card. The PR portal still says submitted and I haven't been able to link to the GC Key. I have submitted a couple of web forms but have only received generic automated responses with no information about my case. I did try calling but was cut off before being able to speak to a human. Learning about the Json thing recently, I checked and saw a message saying that there was a problem with my primary identity document. This was dated a few days after my initial application. I didn’t receive any e-mail with respect to this at the time or since. I have since had to travel overseas for a work assignment so it's not possible for me to call IRCC now. I have just reached out to my local MP to ask for help getting information about my case. Fortunately the MP's office has been very responsive and helpful. Let’s see how things go for from here, as I am on the point of giving up, even though I easily satisfy the residency requirements..

I wish you luck. I hope your MP is able to help out.

There is no point in giving up. PR processing can take time and it is not out of ordinary.

In JSON you might get triggered for false flags regarding primary document or back of the photo etc, but that is not an official communication. Much of the work is AI triggered and if a human officer has not formally opened a portal for re-submission of a document then there is no action on you.

Local MP can't do more than what you can do (to call and inquire). The primary document "if failed" you will receive formal communication about an update on your application. Your JSON will still show complete with an added rejection reason, and that "Complete" update time is important. Usually after that within 10 days you will receive your PR card (if fortunate). Else it can take 6-8 weeks after JSON shows complete.

Good luck

Update on my application - Applciation updated as Approved and PR card mailed today.

Submitted on July 5th, Jason completed on 11th Aug, Card mailed on 18th Aug.

As per my case, Jason completed means application is approved. And, this is little close to IRCC processing time of 30-40days. But, mailing the card is taking time and different for everyone.

Thanks! I appreciate the message and the positive thoughts. Unfortunately since I am now outside of Canada I can't call IRCC and webforms haven't elicited any information about my case so far either. If the MP is at least able to find some information about my case (eg: has it even been looked at) it will give some peace of mind. I know of cases that have just completely disappeared between the cracks (not just PR renewal but also passport renewal), and people have had to resubmit from scratch. I really just want to make sure that hasn't happened to me.

As you are outside canada, you need PRTD to come back right? or do they ship to outside canada?

They do not ship the PR card outside.
Yes he will need PRTD to visit Canada again (which takes time, but becomes an easy and the only option if you know that PR card application was approved.

Update: Local MP office contacted IRCC and IRCC told them the same thing that agents tell me i.e. application is under review. MP office told me they also speak with call center but a different call center than general public.

No expected timeline provided.

Submitted: June 18
JSON: July 9
Ghost update: July 13

Silence since then. My employer and professional body are asking for valid PR card.
