Hi everyone,
I realize this might not be the right group, but I’m hoping for some advice.
I applied for PR on August 28, 2024, received my AOR in November 2024, and got a biometrics request in December. I completed biometrics for myself and my overseas spouse on December 31, 2024.
Since then, I haven’t heard anything from IRCC, no eligibility letter or updates. Is this normal? Is anyone else in the same situation?

Hi, that’s normal. In my case, I’m the dependent overseas while my spouse is in Canada. We didn’t hear from IRCC until about 8 months later, when we received our eligibility letter after biometrics. Since then, it has been another 10 months with no updates after receiving the eligibility and pre-arrival letters—and we’re still waiting

Hi ,
In my case , I received Eligibility letter in Aug 2024 and IRCC requested Biometrics for me and my dependent . Today we completed them and at the same time GCKey was updated : Biometric status became valid and Background check changed from" not applicable " to "process ".
That’s great ! I have similar timeline with you but I didn’t receive biotmetric request.
