me too April 21 . No news yet
I am not sure what is going on tbh, my file should be simple. No dependent, I did not live any other country. I only visited other countries as a tourist during my temporary residency in Canada. Not sure whether it can affect the process. Before the one time inititiave I connected with our city’s MP. He said IRCC will issue my PR around June 2026. I hope we’ll receive good news before June.

If you are already a protected person
This is a very different situation from a new claimant.
If you have already been officially recognized as a protected person in Canada (by the IRB or through PRRA), then you are generally NOT affected by these new ineligibility rules. How ever situations that could affect your PR including serious criminal issues & misrepresentation.
