It's supposed they cant do much. Cannot interfiere. It is really delayed, can request for notes or something. But in practice, not help. I request help three times. Always same answer. Within timeframe( they extemd timeframe when needed :/ )

Dec 2023 applicant here. I requested GCMS notes as a lot of people in this group spoke about it - just got mines. It says this. Does this mean only security is pending?

Assesments:
Eligibility: Passed
Security: Not started
Criminality: Passed
Medical: Passed - expired
Info sharing: In progress

Hey everyone,

I’m a May 31, 2023 applicant. I haven’t received any updates since my pre-arrival and eligibility email in August 2024. At this point, I’m honestly feeling quite exhausted from the wait.

I’m also unable to link my application to the IRCC portal. According to my GCMS notes from mid-2025, my application was still in the background check stage.

The PR processing portal currently shows 3 months remaining, but there has been no communication so far.

Has anyone else in a similar situation experienced this?
security started or not in gcms notes?

This wait is so exhausting! I lost my job after 3 years last Friday because I don’t have PR, can’t pass the background check they needed, and can’t move to the US because of my status! Can’t get a line of credit, face higher mortgage interest rates, and many landlords don’t want to rent their places to us. I’m really tired of the IRCC sh*t! 31 months and still nothing.

Have you tried to call them to explain this?
