May 30 AOR, Test marked completed. Background check - Criminality passed, Security pending as of yesterday. No additonal document request. No fingerprint request.

Citizenship oath: August 29
Scheduled for Citizenship oath: September 16
Unfortunately I had to send an email for rescheduling the oath date. Waiting for respond...
I hope I'll get an answer soon.

Okay so criminality + security both go into background check. I think somewhere in the forum I read the background is just RCMP but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Background check inlcudes both criminality and security checks. Once both are completed, then BG shows as completed on the tracker.

Is there any pattern of having BG completed before test or after ? I see both frequently but does having BG complete after test complete mean something negative? Or is it just random?

I just feel the background stuff is batched. I have seen the BG updates coming through on similar set of dates just like FP request. Lot of FP requests came out on Jul 11 and then Jun 18 etc. Now if your AOR is such that you get through an earlier batch it may happen before test but for a lot of late April submissions background came through much after test.

Lot of FP requests came out on Jul 11 and then Jun 18 etc. Now if your AOR is such that you get through an earlier batch it may happen before test but for a lot of late April submissions background came through much after test.

Yes I think it is batched, even LPP, I have seen a couple of them get cleared the same time as other BGs

Just received a respond. I am back in the queue. They will contact me with rescheduled date after my come back from the trip.
Just FYI: "Please note that any request to postpone ceremony for a period greater than 3 months will require supervisor approval."

I thought I have done a family application, but me and my husband we have different application numbers.
His background check is completed, mine is not. I’m worried we won’t become citizens together.
Wondering if there’s anything I can do to be on the same timeline.
