Yes, submit an update of what you previously provided. The more updates of concrete things, the better - nohting wrong with your 'social' udpates, but specific plans, arrangements for moving/places to live, schooling, jobs, admin arrangements, etc.

It's a step forward but too early to guess how advanced your file is.
Thank you!!
The officer did mention only background check is pending and rest everything is completed.

When I logged in our GC key account to see how to upload this requested document I see under Optional documents they have created a slot named Replacement Needed/Client Information. Believe this is just a generic upload slot they use for asking additional docs?
Though, the letter says I need to provide my detailed plans of re-establishing myself in Canada to support my spouse.

Don't know but I'd assume this is the spot for upload.

I applied for Outland Sponsorship on July 8th and Received AOR on August 12 but today is 25th and no update at all, not even biometric request or sponsor approval. Is this normal?

Yes, normal.

Hi Everyone,
I applied for inland spousal sponsorship on June 14, 2025. On July 11, my application was returned because we had missed adding my wife’s father’s name. I corrected it and resubmitted the same day. On Aug 21, they asked me to update IMM5669, which I did right away. Then on Aug 28, I got a request for my wife to redo biometrics (she had done them about 5 years ago). I paid immediately but am still waiting for the instruction letter.

My wife has been living in Canada for about 2.5 years, her stay has been extended 3 times (the last one until July 2025), and she completed her medical exam more than 2 years ago. Our 4-year-old son is out of status because we missed his extension more than a year ago.

From your experience, does this look like my application is moving fast? What should I expect now?

Did you apply for family class inside Canada or Spouse/ Common Law Partner in Canada? Huge difference in processing time right now.

I applied for Souse/common law partner in Canada including my child too
Okay. If you're 100% sure you applied that and not family class in Canada, the posted timeline is 36 months. Applicants from June/July 2024 have recently been getting p1 and p2, so they were more at 12-15 month mark, but not sure how accurate that 36 month timeline will be moving forward. Were you asking about overall timelines? I'm not sure about the average movement of each step for inland, as I'm an outside Canada applicant.

I am a little confused, is there a Family class that I could have been applied to instead of Souse sponsorship
There were two options for those living in Canada:

Family class of those living in Canada (13 month posted wait time)
Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada (36 posted wait time)

I know you've mentioned you have a son out of status, and I'm not too familiar with that, so that may have forced you to choose SCLPC. Did you consult a lawyer/consultant about your situation at all? Just know that your spouse cannot live outside Canada during the processing of their application. You may want to look into a spousal open work permit if you haven't already, as it is unclear what her status is currently.

Thanks for your reply! My wife is currently here on a visitor visa that has been extended until Feb 2026, so her status is valid. From what I understand, I’ll need to wait until AIP before being able to apply for the open work permit. She doesn’t intend to leave Canada during the process, and I haven’t consulted a lawyer so far — just working through the process myself.

Oh, got it! Your original post said extended July 2025, so I was unsure. I think you may actually just need AOR...although not 100% familiar with it, as I did not apply for it. If she is wanting an OWP, I would look into that, as you may already have an AOR. :) https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...mmon-law-partner-canada-open-work-permit.html
