If you are PR then sponsoring her for PR, not spousal visa (not sure that that is). As long as you aren't on social assistance then okay.

The most important thing is that you have the savings to support your family. Whether it is a good idea for your spouse to arrive when you are unemployed is an entirely different discussion.

My wife received an email from the VAC back home, it says:

"The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. ----------- has been dispatched from the IRCC Office, to the Canada Visa Appplication Centre in CVO."

Can someone explain what this means?

Hi, I have a question. I am a Canadian citizen from Toronto, and my girlfriend is Moroccan, living in Morocco. We are planning to get married in December in Morocco. Some of my friends suggested that my girlfriend should apply for a visitor visa, and once she is here in Toronto, we get married again at the court without disclosing our marriage in Morocco, and then apply for an outland spousal sponsorship. They said this could accelerate the visa process. Is that true?

I assume you guys submitted physical paper application ?

At the end of the day, it sounds like there is a decision on your file that is going to that CVO place. Are you guys in Cairo ? `Cairo Visa Office? ` not sure

My wife is coming to Canada next week on a visitor visa, her PR application is in process (eligibility completed - received pre arrival and waiting for the background check to be completed). does she needs to show a return flight ticket when she enters canada at the immigration ?

Hello all,

I have submitted spousal application under family class as an Outland in May 2025.

Today, I received a call from Canada embassy asking to provide a detailed plan to return to Canada and re-establishing myself to support my spouse.
During our application, we had submitted a detailed plan about intent to return to Canada.

Can I submit the somewhat similar document about my intent to return with some updated plans along with SS of chats with my friends/relatives mentioning soon we will be back to Canada since our application is in final stage.

Can someone please suggest what other things I might want to consider while responding to this additional document request?
Lastly, can this call be considered a good news and our application will be approved soon once we provide them our detailed plan about the return the Canada?

Thank you

Yes, submit an update of what you previously provided. The more updates of concrete things, the better - nohting wrong with your 'social' udpates, but specific plans, arrangements for moving/places to live, schooling, jobs, admin arrangements, etc.

It's a step forward but too early to guess how advanced your file is.
