OCI process

Is this the link for checking status in OCi -> https://ociservices.gov.in/onlineOCI/statusEnqury ? , last week i was able to check the status , today I am giving the right information it shows error message that application and passport number does not match ?

In BLS I am able to check status, but there it is not upto date. Anyone else facing similar kind of issue ?

Anyone who applied on April 18/19th still waiting for OCI ?

Current status: Processing at Consulate General
according to OCI portal tracker submission date is 21 May 2025

I had done this registration process way back in 2013 when my daughter was born in Dubai. I had received the birth certificate(Arabic and English Translation) from Ministry of Health which I had to get it attested as well with Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
After that I went to the Indian Consulate in Dubai to register the birth with the consulate.
They issued a letter with the registration details which had name of the child, DoB, parent's name ,etc...

Now in your case it become a tad bit tricky... This registration thing which I mentioned above has to be done within a year, which unfortunately in your case did not happen...
For such a scenario you might to approach MHA, India as the Embassy/Consulate might not be able to help you https://www.indembassyuae.gov.in/indian-citizenship.php this is what is mentioned in the link

The consulate issued a letter with the registration details which had name of the child, DoB, parent's name ,etc ,is this what is required as I was also born in Dubai and if yes ,would a copy of it do as the original is with my parents in Dubai ,didn’t realize it would be needed .
For the question relatives in India ,can I leave it blank as my parents and sibling live in Dubai and grandparents are deceased ,therefore no immediate relative living there.Thanks

This birth certificate might not be required in your case since you are an adult.
You should not leave this blank imo, provide some details of distant relative...

Would it be a problem if I write none as maybe distant relative may be hesitant in giving their personal details

Hey Guys! Please help me with your input on this situation.

Canadian Citizen wife wants to apply for initial OCI Card application. Our marriage was registered with the State of NY. Her name is under spouse on my Indian passport. My name is not included on her surrendered Indian passport or the new Canadian Passport. The BLS guys did not accept USA Marriage certificate.

Please let me know what can be done in this case. I'm not able to find info for US marriage certificates and the process to get apostilled/notarized.
 
Hello Everyone, I had selected the pick up option for my OCI. Does the below status indicate that it is ready for pick up? I tried calling BLS but couldn't get through

"Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping"

Is my status on BLS tracking. On the OCI tracking website, the status shows as "Granted"
 
Anyone applied on or after May 17 and got the acknowledgment date in the new portal? I did in person on May 17 and OCI website still shows the status as PENDING.

You are not merely just giving up your Indian citizenship(which you have already done).. You are here apply for a permanent residency.
If you now end up omitting these details then perhaps its upto that agent sitting across the counter who will end up making money on your behalf telling you that this is not right and you need to furnish the name of someone...
Don't procrastinate
