I've looked at Vfs websites for different countries and none of them require that you book an appointment for passport submission and collection. I'd suggest you call the number indicated on your country's Vfs Web page.

How to call from Pakistan....I have same AOR but my eligibility stuck from Feb 14, rest is completed
BGC just updated to complete. COPR number and date updated. Just waiting on PPR now. Wahoo!

Anywhere from 1 day to several weeks unfortunately. Make sure you check your spam folder and that you filtered emails so any emails coming from IRCC end up in your mailbox. If you have not received it in few weeks I would recommend calling IRCC.
I called them yesterday and they told me application is approved.but i have to wait some days or weeks . She was saying file still have to proceed to landing something I didn’t get it .
