It was done via zoom and apparently Mississauga was the first office to offer zoom during the pandemic. Not sure why that explains the delay… :)

I was offered the e-certificate option and later on that week (Thursday/Friday) it arrived. I then went to the passport office to summit my application as I am travelling soon. Took about 3 hours in total but will pick up my passport later on this week.

Do not give up. To be honest I stopped checking a while ago as your time will come. Do not worry!

It was at 1pm. I would allocate at least 2 hours. As they have to sign everyone in and there are bound to be people who face some technical issues. Just remember always be on mute until the actual oath or told otherwise.

Any idea why my background changed back to In Progress when LPP finally completed on Feb 6?

background was initially cleared May 30th 2023.
