Anyone has explanation to why the delay for some applicant? Applied Dec 2022, waiting for LPP
You are still fine, lot of October 2022 and November 2022 applicants still waiting for LPP to be completed. Hopefully we get updates soon

Now that their processing time is 15 months, not so far in the future I can see our LPPs also completing. Not being rude, just super optimistic.

If oath is online e-certificate is better option. In-person paper is better one.

LPP completed on Dec 19, 2023
Oath scheduled for Feb 02, 2024
Finally done with Oath virtually today. Also was able to download e-certificate. The feeling of being a Canadian citizen is still sinking in. :)

So 1 yr 1 month 13 days later the journey comes to end. Thank you to all members of this thread who shared this phase of journey. And wish those who are still waiting, you will get there soon. :)

Does requesting GCMS notes delay processing?
I got to know from someone that they remove you application out of queue to provide notes. The application freezes for a few weeks till notes are delivered to the requestor.

What?! This is completely new to me. But I pretty sure that this happens. They don't have time for processing applications in time, I don't think they have time to take out the application from queue and freeze its processing for any reason.

Looks like its true! After posting here I searched this forum found a few posts saying that the officer told them they fell off the queue i.e. freeze the processing of application to process ATIP.

This is not true. GCMS notes are processed by different departments and have nothing to do with your application. ATIP notes officers have access to your application and Officers notes who is processing your application. They are basically pulled by different department and have zero impact on processing application .
