Why don't you do in-person submission? Ottawa BLS is not that crowded and you can manage without an appointment too if you go early in the morning.

Same was written at Ottawa BLS but they gave the spouse OCI with authorization letter and original receipt. I guess third party is not allowed but family works.

eVisa is a better option. Everything is online for it and in most cases you get it within 24hrs.

If you don't have OCI in hand you need not mention anything. Not granted means your OCI application was rejected. Will create complication if you say not granted.

I don't think they will accept the application if you mention India.

Do note that once your wife gets her OCI in Canada she will need to get the exit process done in India to change her status with FRRO which will help her get documents needed to travel from India to Canada. I feel if she does the same in India that process would be incorporated within the OCI...

This is nothing to do with India. There you can go and get it done for Rs.500 on the same day. This is a Canada specific pain which does not look like will go away.

Does calling IRCC from the country to currently residing in work? That would be a faster way to get things done.
