Thank you for your response.

I have been reading posts that they do 3 sputum tests, then call after 3 months for X rays then re do medicals?

Did you have to go through this time consuming and mentally exhausting process? Or it is just further tests and done with?
We undergone the same stressful process.

First my Father-In-Law went for upfront medicals and after a week, IRCC sent us an email asking to visit the same panel physician for further tests.

Then the panel doctor suggested the CT Scan and then the consultation with the Specialist doctor. The specialist doctor said everything is clear and directed the panel physician to give clearance.

But not sure what panel physician has written in the report to IRCC, again after a week we got another email saying still they have few doubts and asked to visit the same panel physician. This time they said my in-law has to undergo Sputum test which takes 3 months to get the report and then the final X-Ray.

In our case it took 4 months to get the final clearance. Then I applied for the super visa which is approved now.

It was time consuming and took 3 months to get the results of the sputum test and then the final X-Ray.

As it was upfront medicals, I was able to wait for 3 months and applied for visa post completion of the medicals.
So in the upfront medical they referred to do sputum n then wait 3 months do X ray and submit medicals. Did they give any medication for 3 months?

In your case, if you get the clearance in the CT Scan, they may not suggest you the sputum test. Let's hope for the best.

Mine was upfront medical too but I had applied the visa a day after my parents did medicals. So now in my case i will have to go through the same 1st the consultation then sputum test then the X ray after that medicals will be cleared and visa processed i think.

However, i am now worried about insurance as the start date on my insurance is APril and i took one year. i have written my parents arrival date as April if this is delayed I will have to resubmit the insurance too :(

If you get the clearance after the consultaion with the specialist, then there is no need of Sputum test.

Let's hope for the best.

What is the Visa Category they printed on Passport ? Is that V-1 or PG-1 ?

If the category specified on Visa is “PG-1 Visitor”, then it is Super Visa.

Hi Moa,

Quick question we almost have same timeline.
I submitted on 19th Jan and her medical was cleared from her previous visit to Canada.
She has active Canada and USA visitor visa. She is in India now and flying back on 21 Feb.
if we get an update from CIC for passport request, is it ok to be here in Canada ?

Got ppr for mom today.

But Dad still pending as he gave Sputum test at the hospital and now wait for 56 days for the result but the hospital said come again on 18 Apr for 2nd X ray though the letter requesting additional medical doesn't mention 2nd x-ray.

HI, I applied my parents super visa a year ago and there is not update yet. Biometric thing is done but in waiting list.
I have a question that can I apply visit visa while on the super visa is in waiting list?
