Hi All,

Please help me understand!!!

I have been working in Ontario for the past two years under a Closed work permit, and I have received a job offer from a company based in Ontario that is different from my current employer and employer prepared to provide support employer form etc.

Here are my questions:
  1. With this new job offer, am I eligible to apply for the OINP Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream?
  2. Regarding the job tenure with the job offer employer, am I eligible to claim points or should I select 0 since my employer is different from my Work Permit?
  3. Real processing timelines (If you any one recently applied with in this stream)

Did you get an invitation to apply?.
I got an invitation to apply and still contemplating if I should submit the application since I can’t figure out if it would be a misrepresentation or not.

Did you choose zero or you eventually chose 6 months or currently working with employer to gain points?
I chose that and I had just done 4 months with this current employer.

Hello, please I need help with this. Just got an invitation to apply for OINP. The problem is that I waited for over a year to be called but no show. so I moved to Nova Scotia where I got an Expression of interest(not going as planned). Can i still apply to the OINP when I don't have a job there anymore? If my employers are ready to take me back(which they promised to), is 2 weeks enough to convince the officers?

I think you should be able to apply for it as long as you did not claim point for it such as you having to select 6 months or currently working with the employer in the scoring factor.

The issue I am having is I claimed 3 point for it when applying for expression of interest and now I got the invite but I only have 4months + of working with the employer.

I don't think you can apply if you're no longer working/living in Ontario.

Not sure about the last part:

If my employers are ready to take me back(which they promised to), is 2 weeks enough to convince the officers?
But are sure you'll leave everything in Nova Scotia, move back to Ontario, go back to work with your former employer, and fill in all the required forms in 14 days?

Is employer eligible and willing to fill out employer forms as well as giving you a full time employment offer? Because you are not working for the employer, the employer must now
  • demonstrate that enough effort was made to recruit a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident prior to offering the position to you (this only applies if you are currently living outside Canada or working outside of Ontario)
So your employer has to show they could not hire anyone.

Question to all. Do we need to create profile EE to get ONIP invitation. I met criteria but still didn't get any invitation. Not sure why!
