I'm not saying racism doesn't exists. All I'm saying is that almost everyone IRCC interacts with is non-white, and we, the very small minority that hasn't passed prohibitions, happen to be also non-white because most immigrants are non-white. We're like a smaller set of a bigger set, and the bigger set is also non-white majority. If the issue was us not being white, then many more people would be stuck in prohibitions stage.
I definitely see your point and it’s valid! The immigration stream into western countries are definitely filled with brown black races etc! So obviously the point you’re making is sound!
But there is also a large number of Caucasian European applicants and they magically don’t experience those hold ups and year long wait times other minorities do!

I’m not saying the “sole/only” reason we’re stuck in prohibition is because we’re non white! There clearly are other factors involved! But these factors seem to affect disproportionately non white applicants! Interesting and Alarming one must admit!
What I’m saying it’s naive to think this isn’t part, if not the major factor that this is so!
It has been concluded on other threads in here and many other forums that there is a glaring inconsistency between the completion of P.R and citizenship applications between European applicants and non Caucasian applicants!
So much so that it cannot be denied anymore!

Any update?
Nope no updates!
Nothing you do or say on here will speed up the process!
Just understand that you simply have to wait!
No sense in stressing over it because they won’t do anything until they want to, no matter how many calls or emails we send them

What I'm wondering is, do people in this situation update their accounts at the same time, or if not, whatever happens. We don't know what they do behind closed doors and I have never called and asked until today. There is no situation to stress, actually why are you so nervous?

I saw a lot of people stuck at prohibition as well. they start doing something but no one knows what is that and why ? And get ready even after prohibition complete to wait for oath 2 or 3 months I have friend same situation he waited for 2 months to complete prohibition and now waiting for almost 2 months and counting for oath

I received my GCMS notes, and it seems like I passed the security clearance (the only thing in process). However, my officer hasn't marked it as passed.

Note: Like many of you, my security section is also redacted, but my status line has 2-3 pixels of information at the top. I matched the lines with another "Status: Passed" and they match exactly, so it has certainly passed.

I see that you passed your background check in October, which means you have cleared both security and criminality.

No updates for me. Called IRCC yesterday and was told they can't see my prohibition reason, only the processing office can see it. They said it is also within the 17 months processing time.

I've observed that the prohibition process often takes longer for some refugees. Have you travelled outside of Canada?
