Hey guys i have a question. In the new tracker everything says complete. The last thing that needed to be completed was the background check and the was complete feb 15, I also have an arc that I submitted dec 14 2021 and I'm waiting on a answer. How long do you think i will have to wait?

Hi house,
Every thing is completed on my new portal. Background check, medical, eligibility everything. Received Pre- arrival as well, and its been 3 weeks since no update.
Anyone having or had the same experience, please share!
thanks in advance

i created my account finally... it says eligibility in process since August 24 2021... it's going to be 7 months soon... and Background check not started yet!!! It's going to be 1 year on May 17 since they're processing it. Is this normal to perform eligibility for so long? what exactly do they do? i'm pissed

The gap between the medicals being submitted and the next step is the longest and quietest. Honestly, most of that time is likely either simply in queue, or waiting for some other dept/person/entity to do something (or all of those at the same time). But there would be few outside signs anyway.

Inquire through your MP, order gcms notes.

Already contacted and mentioned this silence. I even got a reply on the next day asking for my address in To so they could start assisting me :) that was on March 4, then silence. I guess theyAlready made an enquiry to ircc.
But bg check not even started, don’t they do eligibility and bg at the same time?
could there be delays due to Canada and Russia not being friendly recently?

"Background check" and "eligibility" are to my mind the least useful terms there because they don't seem to be used consistently, the 'not started' fields don't necessarily mean what normal people think the terms would mean, and to some degree are both catch-all terms meaning everything.

So I would not overthink it; reading the tea leaves of these online systems doesn't give much insight. Order the gcms notes. Periodically (eg once a month) chase your MP. If you have an email address in Warsaw, you could write and ask (they do seem to read them). If you wish to make the case that given global events right now, family reunification eg getting spouse out of Russia would be a good thing, do so - to Warsaw and MP for example.

And I repeat my suggestion to apply for TRV.

Is it worth applying even if the PA has no ties to their home country? or will that be a waste of time and effort? -- Assuming PA passed eligibility and got pre-arrival, and the only thing in process atm are background checks.

Does everybody have a copr T document number on the new tracker?

Edit: we received an invite to portal minutes after I wrote this. For some background for anyone in the same position, on the new tracking tool everything is complete but it said "in progress" but there has been a copr T number and expiration date, and on ecas it says decision made. We had no updates since February 17th, when they asked for confirmation of payment for permanent residency. Our representative sent an email to portal stating that we have a copr number but no invitation to portal, confirming my husband's details in the email (address, email address, day he entered Canada) and the next day today, we recieved an invitation to portal.

They replied the next day! I replied to their address enquiry and been waiting for them to contact ircc and get back to me.

trv is not an option right now, air tickets prices are 100k+ rubles and Turkey recently banned flights through Ankara for Russian a if they are flying to third countries. I just found out and I’m freaking out..... I really hope it all will be over at the end of spring....

Yes, I meant they haven't got back to you with the response from IRCC. It should only take a few days for them to get something back from IRCC.

I've also been at 'Eligibility in progress' for over 6 months. It has become normal.
