Hello, I hope everyone is doing well. I need help with some information here as I couldn't get any help elsewhere.
I've applied for my citizenship on Jan 2020. I did my citizenship test on Sep 2021. I need to travel urgently in on March 7th for a month so I booked my tickets. I have not heard from the IRCC yet regarding oath and ceremony and I'm kind of panicking right now because my PR is expired. I booked my ticket 3 months ago, I really thought I was going to get my application done quicker.
I really need to travel as my sister is ill and requires me to be their for her. I've already sent a webform, but I didn't get a proper reply back (it took 1 month for them to reply). All I got was steps on how to fill a webform which was confusing because I already done the right steps.
Is there a way I can contact the IRCC and let them know I need help, if not would I be able to leave Canada with my main passport and a expired PR then apply for a PRTD when I land to the country I'm traveling to?
Thank you so much for your time.

You can apply for PRTD from the country you are going to. Check processing time there if they are less than your stay. You can also send a urgent PR renewal application with a proof (write urgent on the envelope). Some received their PR card in 3 weeks for urgent request.

No way they can get their Canadian passport by March 7th at this point. Their only options now are: PRTD or urgent PR renewal application

Totally agree with you. Not enough time now.
