Immediate travel after Canadian citizenship

Hello,

I became a Canadian citizen on June 10, 2025 and got my Canadian passport on June 20, 2025. I had a flight booked to New Zealand for June 25, 2025. I had an Indian passport before and the NZ visa was issued to my Indian passport. Transferring the NZ visa to my Canadian passport will take a month. I did some research and found that I can travel on my Indian passport for three months after becoming Canadian citizen and this is called as grace period.

Does anyone has any experience traveling on Indian passport during the grace period. Would that be an issue with the airlines or would there be any reason I could be denied boarding on my Indian passport from Canada? Looking forward to response.

You only need an NZETA to travel to NZ on a Canadian passport. These are generally approved within a matter of hours.
