good to know. My parents they withdrew on 29Dec2021 and final decision - Your application is withdrawn, we will send email or letter with details". Till now did not receive any letter or email on this correspondence. Sent webform on 13Jan2022, standard response not related at all.

Super Visa for Mother in Law
First application was submitted on May 2021
Biometrics completed on July 2021
Medicals completed on Aug 2021 ( Upfront completed medicals before getting the request from IRCC and uploaded the Emedicals document )

Reapplied on Nov 11th through the New portal

No Update after that

My mother travelled to Canada on a visit visa few weeks ago. Though she applied for super visa from her home country, she received the request to submit her passport a day ago. Does she have to return to her home country to submit the passport or is it possible to submit here in Canada. If so, what is the process involved. I did not find any details on the ircc website or FAQs.

Yes that's fine you can change the insurance. But please ensure when she lands she has an active insurance.

Since new members are liking this post, just want to update that I resubmitted Super Visa in October and mom got visa in 14 business days.

I dont think so, they will ask. But but for good as medical expenses are very high if no insurance.

I usually get a financial statement from a Chartered A/c. This has proved a good strategy as my parents have never been denied Canadian (applied for extensions too from here) or US visas. This does not mean it will work for you.

Question for anyone who recently got the visa approved.
How long the visa is valid for?
My mothers visa got approved and the visa sticker says expiration is December, 2025. Even though her passport expiration is 2029.

Totally agree. Am waiting since Mar2021, reapplied new portal 25Oct2021. Old application they withdrew on 29Dec. Still waiting. Next 2 months 1 year completes for supervisa. I think they are expecting me to submit a third one..
