you can apply for urgent passport as soon as you receive your certificate but the thing is receiving certificate can take anywhere between 2 - 8 weeks.

I don't think so, you can ask the officer when you are taking the oath but very slim chances

We applied online separately. Once I receive my email invite, I might ask them to invite reschedule my spouse with me rather than 3 days later.
Hello. I have an update after Sept 22. Though they have not marked any steps complete they have sent me a test invite.. anyone in the same boat?
Also one more thing. I am out of Canada. Can I take the test online from my home country using vpn Or should I inform them.
My apprehension is they might just sit on it again for month's.. has anyone done this? Do they extend the date..??

- put “Outside Canada – Citizenship Test” in the subject line
- in the body of your message, include
- your full name
- your application number
- the start and end date for your test
I was in the same boat as you. I sent them a note expecting for a new time frame. but received an email a day before my testing time frame was supposed to end saying that I can go ahead and take the test "during" the original test invitation timing.
I had to rush to take the test.
Based on this experience, I will suggest you sent them a note as per the email note. and take the test.
Me too, but the old date is still there as well.
I now have 2 Oath notifications, one on the 7th and one on the 17th!!!
Some people on the forum mentioned that it's a glitch. I will wait for the email invite before reaching out to IRCC
