BC PNP: International Post-Graduate category

Hello everyone,

I filed my application for BC PNP last week under International Post-Graduate category. Do you know when can I get my nomination? I heard it takes 2 weeks and sometimes only 2 days. My status on application is "Applied".

Also, do you know how many days I will get to file PR application after getting approval.

Mine was approved in a week. And if you’re going through the express entry route, you will have to accept the nomination on your profile, then wait for the next express entry draw for an invitation. After the invitation, you can submit a PR application. For paper based, you can apply for PR right away after your nomination!

when do you need to pay the application fee while applying for the initial time or after getting approved?

Hi, is it mandatory to have express entry profile for bc pnp International Post-Graduate category?

Yes this mandatory to have EE profile and EE number in hand while applying for BC PNP, They need your IELTS result. Criteria for this stream is simple, you have to complete post graduate degree in approved Programs from Designated Institute in last three years. (list attached)

@hellolajja , did you get your BC PNP nomination? I applied for the non express entry stream but also International Post Graduate and I applied almost 1 month ago but my application status in the online portal is still in "Applied" state, it does not seem anyone worked on it yet.

Anyone else currently waiting for this? When did others apply?

Not quite true: For example, after receiving the BC PNP International Post Graduate nomination nowhere is it clearly mentioned whether a language test is required for the federal PR application. Or at least I have searched almost everywhere but could not find any information. Do you know?

Yes it does Page 23 of the Program Guide. The program guide has the eligibility requirements so not sure what you are reading.

You did not carefully read my post. I said AFTER receiving the BC PNP nomination. I was clearly referring to the Paper Based (now also online) PR application to the Canada Federal Government, not BC. But even for BC you are incorrect. NON-EE International Post Graduate BC PNP applications DO NOT require a language test. The only question I raised and which is not clearly mentioned anywhere is whether a language test is required for the federal PR application when applying for the NON EE Skilled Immigration with sponsorship from BC as NON-EE International Post Graduate nominee.

I hope it makes it clearer.

If you meet eligibility requirements that state you don’t need a language test then you are good.

And where is that stated? On the provincial nomination certificate/letter? You are saying that it states whether language testing is required or not?
