Today the client service representative for access to information and privacy ( ATIP-IRCC ) sent me an email to inform me that my request for GCMS notes has been processed and that I will receive the requested information shortly and I replied to confirm that I am awaiting my notes.

Hi guys, I have applied for refugee in 2018, and in 2021 I got a negative decision, so I appealed and I got another negative decision a week ago. I have 2 boys who are both over 18. My file is weak due to my first lawyer ruining it (turns out he was a consultant not a lawyer) and I don't know what to do now. we have strong grounds to apply for H&C (own a house, never took benefits, work, members of church) but we are scared of removal orders if we have to wait for the 12-month bar to be over. any help would be greatly appreciated... thank you all!
I have never received any emails from ATIP office to be honest, other than the notes themselves. But the fact that they communicated with you is already positive. I trust you will get them next week. Keep us posted
It really varies by file, how complex it is. 5 months is still the norm, don't worry. I would start worrying if it approaches a year. You can always order GCmS notes to give yourself a peace of mind and see what's going on.

Hi, if you have appealed to Rad and failed, you can appeal to federal court that is the last resource. In the same time you can submit H&C but only if you have kids or medical condition I think. If not, you have to wait the 1 year bar, and have faith that cbsa dont look for you. Or if they call you, maybe they could give you Prra. Good luck.
