Hi everyone,

I’m FSW-O and my AOR is April 2,2020. My original medical got expired on March 2021 and I didn’t got any updates or remedical request until last week I found that my account shows 11.29 the medical was passed. So I think my medical was extended on 11.29. My question is what would be the validity duration this extension? Will it be valid for 1 year or just a few months? @legalfalcon

Ontario invites 1,186 PNP candidates from all Employer Job Offer streams
After more than a month, Ontario has held its first round of invitations under the Employer Job Offer category.

Ontario came back with a bang on December 7, inviting 1,186 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued invitations to candidates who had profiles in its Expression of Interest (EOI) system. Here are the results of all the draws in a table:

These candidates may be eligible for one of three streams under the Employer Job Offer category: Foreign Worker, International Student and In-Demand Skills. Some of the invitations went to candidates registered for the Regional Immigration Pilot.

Health and agricultural occupations:

  • NOC 3413 – nurse aides, orderlies and patient service associates

Ontario wants more immigrants
Each year, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) allocates a certain number of nominations to the provinces and territories that run Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs).

In 2021, Ontario received an allocation of 8,350 plus an additional 250 nominations for temporary foreign workers in intermediate skilled occupations, NOC Skill Level C.

As of November 10, 2021, Ontario has issued 8,600 nominations. Ontario’s immigration minister, Monte McNaughton, told CIC News in an October interview that the province is asking the federal government to double their allocation next year.

Ontario recently passed the Working for Workers Act, which among other things will help immigrant workers integrate into regulated industries outside of the health care sector. It will prohibit regulatory bodies from requiring Canadian work experience, eliminate the need to do a language test for the purpose of licensing, and speed up the licensing process, especially in cases of emergency.

Good morning house, I am new here and have some concerns. My application was rejected in November 2020 and I filed for a judicial review. In March 2021 ircc through its counsel opted for an out of court settlement to which we obliged. My application was reopened on the 30th October 2021 and ircc lawyer assured us that the applicationis actively being processedsince July 2021. My concern is I requested for gcms notes in Sept and got it yesterday but nothing was mentioned on the activities on my file not even that the application has now been opened. Wouldn't know y this is so. My vo is accra. Are they deliberately not giving me all the info on my file? as I had experienced this with them. For what reason. My aor is Sept 2019. 26months and counting. Really a sad experience My family and I are having with ircc. Not to think that the reason for refusal in the 1st place was entirely their fault which they should naturally try to correct swiftly.

Anything that IRCC used for preparing for litigation is privileged and will not be released under the Access to Information Act or the Privacy Act.

You can send a demand notice to the DOJ counsel and reinitiate the judicial review if needed.

Many thanks @legalfalcon and dankboi for your response. However, if I were to infer correctly from legalfalcon comments, is it that when an application is or was a subject of a judicial review/litigation, activities done on the application after settlement of the matter whether via about of court of court instruction will not be seen via the gcms notes? My application changed from refused to submitted on the 31st of October. By reinitiating the judicial review process are we asking the court to mandate them to swiftly conclude on the application. As the refusal decision has been set aside. Your inputs will be greatly appreciated. Please be aware that no formal hearing of the case was done at the court. My lawyer only filed his argument after which ircc lawyers did not respond but only wrote us to settle out of court. Thank you
