Hi all, me and my husband got our PR on 2019 aug and we have landed in Canada on dec 2019. That time we were in USA. Then I was pregnant so I came back to my native place india and the the covid situation happened. Due to the my husband also vacated USA n we settled in india for a year (2020 to 2021) now we want to go Canada with our baby girl. But I see taking her is little difficult as she is not a PR so we will have to apply TRV for her, (that it self take minimum 6months I if that does not click, then my husband has to go and get job there and then sponsee for her so we both can go n join with my husband. I believe it will take nearly a year n more. That is really painful leaving him n living alone at this time where our kind grows. (She is just 17 months baby now)

so my question here is can we have a better solution for this scenario? My only wish is we 3 have to travel together!!

looking forward for your comments!

You've understood your options correctly.

Either yo or your husband must move back to Canada in order to sponsor your child for PR. Normally this takes 6-8 months but is taking longer now.

If you don't want to be separated, then you need to apply for a TRV for your child and wait for that TRV to be approved so that you can all travel to Canada together.

That's the solution.

Hey thanks for your response!
So as I said the TRV approval will itself take 6months right? If yes, what’s the probability at this time to get it approved ?

No one in the forum knows.

TRV processing shouldn’t take 6 months. Could be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. If denied you can try for a TRP.

Hi all, we are on our way to process our baby girl TRV. I have a doubt in it.

*) how much is the fund should I show as financial proof? (You can tell me in Canadian dollar)
